Here is a collection of Stories written by many different disabled people about the impact that DLA has on their lives. It also includes stories of fear about the proposed changes to personal independence payment.

The assessment process drove him to suicide #spartacusreport #spartacusstories

We were contacted by someone whose uncle had committed suicide. He had mental health problems and he had been found fit to work by ATOS, then won his appeal against that but was called for re-assessment. He was once again told he scored zero points and was fit to work. When he received his second set of appeal papers he killed himself.

  1. This is beyond awful. My 87year old uncle is in despair. Caring alone for a sick wife without financial help and paying for carers. Yes they do want us to die. I've felt that no-one values my life for a long time.

  2. This is horrific and unsurprising as the mentally ill are extremely marginalised in ATOS process.

Very saddened when I read such stories, and ashamed that as a country allow the vilification of the disabled.
